Hello Everyone,
I am Deepthy, a student of homoeopathy from Kerala. I am doin a survey to b followed up by an awareness campaign. Can u please help me in the lil ways u can. All I want is, that u jot down watever u know abt homoeopathy, from where u came to know abt it and wat do u think abt this branch of therapeutics. If u have ever been under homoeo care, let me know that too.

hey deepthy.. all i knw bout it is tht its a branch of medicine were docs beleive dat evry body ailment is connected to each oda.. hope i m rite..

nd yaa i hve been under homeo care.. bt to b honest.. i found no results.. i went in 4 pre mature greyin of hair.. i m 19 yrs nd my head is half grey  :'(

i knw it aint smethn tht is curable.. but still.. i just went 4 it.. culdnt hurt.. rite

Goodluck on ur course... i've known of homeo for long now... mayb from childhood!!! & have had the privilage of knowing a lil more of it during my masters...

The best thing i like abt it is - it takes both the physiological & psychological component leading to the ailment.... this gives the holistic approach to treating an ailment... thts fantastic coz there are far too many evidences showing their correlation.

But my only concern is there are far too many quacks out there claiming to know the art & science of this noble healing system.... Wish the law takes them to task soon...

Keer, we need to have some more background on u to guide u for gre and toefl, and the best way to try getting into best universities.

scoring well in gre and toefl altogether depends on ur personal capability and ur preparation for the same, if u are good, u need only 3-4 weeks of preparation or else u need more time.

I got a score of 2010 / 2400 (old system) in GRE with a 4 week intermittent preparation.

All u need to know is to know ur own capability and act accordingly.

best luck 4 ur exam,
im taking homeopathy medications 4 acne,from 8 months.i havent yet got any good results.there is just 20% improvement.its too long session n im not happy with the treatment.

I am late in replying cos i  had an accident and was not well and an examination schedule followed.... Now .. I wud like to  make somethings clear about the methodology of working of homoeopathy....
Its an efficient science discovered by a German allopath named Samuel Hahnemann - being fed up seeing the barbaric practises of Old School of Medicine.
This is based on "Natures Law of Cure" ie Likes be cured by likes.... we see examples of this in our everyday life... See for example one burns a fingers - its true that dipping in cold water gives instant amelioration of pain.. but the moment u take hand out of it , one feel increased burning senstaion.... on the contrary if one applies honey or glycerine which might not give an instant cold senstaion heals better and faster without aggravation later... Same is the method of Homoeopathy. When given to a healthy man  certain substance produces an array of symptoms. When a person comes with same complaints , administering this substance will cure him.
In homoeopathy, one of the most long and important process is of case taking.. u must have wondered why an homoeopath asks so many questions- as of ur likes in food, if u want fan, if u use blankets etc etc.... it is for individualising u. Each person is unwell in his own peculiar way.. 5 ppl coming with headache might be patients requiring 5 medicines... one might be having more pain on temples , one on vertex, other might feel that tying a band decreases pain etc.. each ask for different medicine..... The probles is each person is like a lock  and we have abt 3000 medicines which are like keys. The tough part s the homoeopath has to identify the right key while prescribing... and many doctors being incompetent cos of not studying well while at college donot choose the right key. Unless key is right there wont be cure and thats the reason why many ppl feel dissatisfied by homoeopathic treatment. Its the problem of the physician rather than the branch. I will come back with longer and clearer explanations soon. Keep asking any doubts u have.. its wonderful conversing with u.

my mom had severe asthma abt 10 rs ago..i knw in homeopathy it  takes time to cure and just not teporary relief......oms almoist good now...the attacks are as less as 1 a year.inspite of being in a polluted city like delhi..hey deepthy al the best for ur exams,,,,hop ethe accident dint do much harm
