‘You can’t change the whole world, and you certainly can’t change other people; but you have the ability to change yourself.’ With this message in mind, our eco- Diwali initiative saw us spreading awareness among staff and students about the hazards of air and sound pollution. We put up posters all over the school and even on the school bus, thus spreading awareness about air and sound pollution during Diwali even beyond the school campus. We wore bands with the message, ’Diwali: Festival of light not sound’ to express solidarity with the cause.

we all too wish very prosperous joyous DIWALI N NEW YEAR 2067 to all But i differ in my personal views tht no one should use crackers of any kind to celebrate nt only DIWALI but any occassions to save all poor jeevs sound pollution risk accidents unnecessary waste of huge money on producing harmful smokes spoiling enviroment we can rather fire our inner conciousness to burn our own vices bring out real true virtues

Say yes to crackers... and say no to adultering the petroleum products.. Diwali is celebrated for a day and the huge pollution is caused by Trucks, Buses, Autorickshaws, old two wheelers... Mostly Diesel is adulterated by mixing up kerosene... This emits black smoke and also hazardous..
Say no to plastics, Say no to burning tyres, Say no to toxic chemicals that comes out of a manufacturing unit.. In our country, ppl cries and joins hand for small and silly things but not for the major things that continues for ages !!!!

Very heartening to read yr postings above n happy tht atleast some views r coming fw from members
Yes ur 100% right tht for petty things n small things only we join hands no doubt abt it n all the points for saving environments r also laudable
But can i say my views? Suppose there big issues pending shall we forget the small issues? I don't think .Every issue is a issue only.Ok reg Diwali comes for a day or max 3/4 days n compared to other pollutions it might be less but here the points is just for our enjoyments we r killing so many jeevs which is no way connected with pollutions n pollutions again mostly we r thinking for our self survivals n safety but n't for other jeevs while here the basic foremost imp Q is of survivals of poor jeevs who can't do any things for them selves.
Ok reg pollutions also it is imp issues but it is in others' larger communities,Govts,other big co r involved so supose me or u think or change can't prevent tht ills of societies while in crackers case even if i or u don't do it surely many many jeevs would be saved which we can follow.
Sorry for differing on views pl u too can again send rejoinder from yr side Tnx GN
