Rahul Mahajan, the handsome young man from reputed political family of late Pramod Mahajan who has been taking part in the reality show ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega’, is all set to marry one of the finalists today at a suburban five star hotel


Sources from the channel say that Dimpy Ganguly, the twenty year old model from Kolkata, is likely to be the lucky bride for Rahul Mahajan at the luxurious hotel. Though all the finalists—Nikunj, Harpreet and Dimpy—tried to impress Rahul Mahajan and win the reality show, but finally it was Dimpy Ganguly’s bubbly nature that carried the day and got the approval from the bridegroom. The buzz doing rounds in the industry is that Rahul Mahajan was floored by Dimpy Ganguly’s honesty in revealing about her past boyfriends etc and just loved the way it was said.


Dimpy Ganguly’s open attitude towards life and her infections dimpled smile also impressed Rahul very much and he decided to tie the knot with her at the ceremony today. In fact, Rahul Mahajan has already asked the court to release his passport so that he could go to Ireland and Maldives for his upcoming honeymoon.

Rahul Mahajan’s wedding is going to be a grand affair on television as big fashion designers like Vikram Fadnis, Neeta Lulla and Ashley Rebello will be dressing up the three girls for the occasion. The event at a five star hotel is likely to be attended by eminent personalities from all walks of life. It will be telecast live on NDTV Imagine from nine in the evening.

In the meantime, Dimpy Ganguly has been accused of breaching the contract by Maureen Wadia of ‘Gladrags’. In fact, Maureen has already sent a legal notice to NDTV Imagine in this regard. According to Maureen, Dimpy was in an exclusive contract with Gladrags and her participation in the reality show ‘Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jayega’ was against the contract.

Maureen also slammed Dimpy for unprofessional behavior during her days with Gladrags. Maureen was especially incensed with Dimpy for disappearing at three in the morning and returning after two hours without informing anyone. She also questioned the suitability of Dimpy as a wife, considering her past record.

Earlier, Rahul’s uncle Praveen Mahajan died of brain hemorrhage and there was suspense about the wedding taking place. However, Rahul Mahajan and his family made it clear that the show would go on as scheduled and no change would take place in this regard.

It may be recalled that Rakhi Sawant, the season one celebrity of NDTV Imagine, had refused to marry the winner of the show on the appointed date and finally got only engaged to him.

Let us hope and pray that nothing of the sort happens with Rahul and Dimpy.
